The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As Upstream Sr. Marketing Manager, Insights (m/f/x)* you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Leading a team in the development of market, competitive, and clinical insights to inform strategic decision-making and portfolio priorities.
Managing and mentoring a team of analysts (business and clinical) to deliver high-quality insights and recommendations.
Building and maintaining market models and forecasts to inform business strategy.
Translating external market and clinical intelligence into actionable recommendations for new product development and portfolio management.
Partnering with cross-functional leaders to ensure insights are integrated into upstream marketing, R&D, strategy, and business planning.
Supporting, when appropriate, evaluations of M&A opportunities or white space adjacencies
How you will make an impact
Bringing the voice of the market and customer into the organization by continuously scanning trends, competitors, and clinical practices.
Guiding analysts to structure insights into frameworks and narratives that drive executive decision-making.
Supporting portfolio strategy by providing fact-based inputs on market growth, competitive positioning, and unmet needs.
Contributing to early diligence efforts for potential new growth areas.
Your Skills and Expertise
Demonstrated ability to synthesize market, competitive, and clinical information into actionable business insights.
Proven experience in market forecasting, competitive benchmarking, and customer analysis.
Experience leading or mentoring analysts and managing projects across cross-functional teams.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Economics, Life Sciences, or related field.
Profound relevant experience in business analysis, strategy, market research, or related roles, ideally in healthcare or medical devices.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field.
Experience leading corporate or business development initiatives in a healthcare or med tech environment.
Prior exposure to global markets and regional-specific product or M&A evaluations.
Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Work location: Remote
Travel: May include up to 50% Domestic and International Travel (for hospital immersion and customer insights)
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
