Job Description: The Clinical Improvement Facilitator works under the administrative supervision of the Manager of Professional Practice and provides coordination, facilitation, leadership, planning and resource development of multidisciplinary clinical orientation, education, and standard development at the provincial level. As a self-directed practitioner with strong communication skills, the Clinical Improvement Facilitator supports the Clinical Standards & Professional Practice priorities for safe and appropriate clinical practice in the SHA through alignment, collaboration, and partnership.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years recent experience in a clinical nurse educator role
  • Minimum 5 years clinical experience in nursing
  • Experience in project management: leading, planning, implementation & evaluation

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Licenses

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Experience in a clinical leadership role preferred
  • Willing to complete additional training as required

  • Ability to provide reccomendations on best practice evidence for implementation

  • Ability to research/analyze/summarize information to determine required action
  • Knowledge of quality and safety initiatives, including accreditation processes.
  • Ability to plan/develop/implement/monitor/evaluate education programming
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and consultative manner
