About the role
The Global EHS Manager will report to the Global head of Facilities and Health and Safety and is responsible for the management of the day-to-day EHS and facilities across the globe. To lead and support the global teams to ensure a safe and healthy working environment across both retail and offices, adherence to global statutory compliance and the furthering of best practice universal standards, systems, and potential accreditations. To work alongside all internal and external stakeholders, colleagues, and supply partners to build relationships and develop a one team approach. To support the global implementation of global EHS and facilities strategy and any relevant strategic projects.

As a Global EHS Manager (Environment, Health, Safety Manager) you will

  • To manage and oversee the development and implementation of environmental management systems by identifying, solving, and alleviating environmental issues.
  • Reporting all global waste, utilities and to help reduce our carbon footprint in line with our key stakeholders. To support management of data and work closely with the ESG teams.
  • Support the centralisation of local and global contractors and maintenance companies (also regional support same principles).
  • Management support of UK and global Security strategies and implementation.
  • Support all workplace strategies, refurbishment projects, new office design and relocations.
  • Acquisition support, tender review, and procurement of relevant suppliers.
  • To support regional budget tracker meetings and managing the global health and safety budget.
  • Monitor and maintain health and safety compliance across the regions and all channels.
  • Develop and maintain a global Environment, Health and Safety Strategy
  • Support sustainability, EHS Committee and other relevant Co’s as required.
  • Ensure all global general and specific workplace risk assessments are completed for each site and all relevant activities (including event risk assessments and filming and shooting risk assessments).
  • Ensure all fire risk assessments are planned and completed, reviewed and actions completed for both retail and office sites where required.
  • Oversee the completion of all regular inspections and regular safety checks across both retail and global offices.
  • To review legislative requirements across the globe and work to improve all gaps noted and found during global gap analysis
  • To support implementation of EHS global safety systems
  • Carry out all necessary incident and accident investigations including reporting to local authorities where required and ensuring in other regions compliance is met by reporting to governing bodies
  • Support legal with risk registers, claims and property enquiries.
  • Support wellbeing strategies development and implementation
  • Lead on health and safety mandatory training programme
  • Work closely with the People team on liaising with external providers in Occupational Health and Safety in various regions across the globe
  • Review and provide guidance on DSE assessment completed globally
  • Conduct global audit programmes across office and retail to work towards compliance and understand what is needed to achieve global consistency
  • Create and maintain policies and procedures to be rolled out for all or specific teams across the globe
  • Support retail and office teams on facilities compliance checks, services, maintenance and inspections
  • Be the main point of contact and support for office and retail teams on the various health and safety questions and requests

About you

  • Previous experience in managing multi-site safety in retail and offices.
  • Global safety and environment experience
  • Able to adapt and used to working in a fast paced ever changing environment
  • Proven track record of delivering results through effective collaborative working with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexible & initiative-taking, with an eagerness to learn.
  • Strong communicator and experience working and communicating with various levels and teams.
  • Proven experience of remaining calm under pressure
  • History of managing and leading teams
  • Certified in a recognised body covering occupational safety and health NEBOSH at minimum
