Description -
The Strategy & Planning Lead is a senior-level marketing role responsible for shaping and executing the strategic direction of the SEMEA marketing organization. This role serves as a strategic advisor to leadership, aligning marketing plans with business goals, managing investment planning, and driving cross-functional coordination across Category, WW, GTM, and Country teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Alignment & Business Management
- Own the relationship with WW and GTM & Planning for strategic alignment, budget allocation, and investment tracking.
- Consolidate and articulate the SEMEA Marketing Strategy in close collaboration with Country and BU leads.
- Lead quarterly business reviews, game plans, and market planning sessions.
4P Marketing Leadership
- Support Category leads in the 4P planning process (Product, Price, Place, Promotion).
- Ensure 4P game plans are aligned across category and market leads.
- Translate category priorities into actionable marketing plans and track execution.
Category Relationship Management
- Act as the primary liaison between Marketing and Category teams at regional and WW levels.
- Roll up Game Plan requests and business cases to Category and GTM teams.
- Ensure category-driven processes (e.g., Game Plan, upside investments, media planning) are integrated into marketing execution.
Initiative Leadership
- Lead key marketing initiatives (e.g., Premium) on behalf of the SEMEA Marketing team.
- Represent marketing leadership in strategic forums and decision-making bodies.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with Insights, Media, and Comms teams to brief on key market initiatives.
- Ensure the voice of the customer is reflected in all planning and decision-making.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in strategic marketing leadership roles, preferably within a regional or global organization.
- Strong understanding of 4P marketing and category management.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with WW and GTM teams.
- Familiarity with investment planning, 4P planning and measurement tracking tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead strategic initiatives and represent Marketing in executive forums.
- ABM marketing experience
