Maintenance Engineer at Heidelberg Materials

What You’ll Get To Do:

• Organize building & facility contractor maintenance activities for the plant. 
• Coordinate the monitoring, evaluation and modification of the preventative, predictive and proactive maintenance programs to ensure maximum equipment uptime and efficient use of resources.
• Develop and maintain files and drawings for the maintenance department (eg. drawings, checklists, maintenance history, etc.)
• Assist the maintenance manager in the preparation of the annual maintenance budget; the development of the department's long-term goals and objectives to meet the overall plant operational and cost goals.
• Collaborate with maintenance planner in the planning of all major equipment outages and significant repairs by utilizing project-planning techniques and software.

Who we are looking for:

• Strong technical proficiency in mechanical and electrical areas
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, Mechanical engineering discipline strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of preventive/predictive/corrective maintenance principles, techniques and technologies
•  Familiarity with industrial plant operations, plant equipment, repair techniques and resource planning
• Excellent organizational skills with a good working knowledge of filing systems for drawings, manuals, and equipment records.
• Solid computer skills including knowledge of computerized maintenance software; prior experience with project management software and electronic timekeeping systems a plus.

Work Environment:

• Role operates primarily a professional office environment, but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels
