Stagehand at University of Pittsburgh at Bradford

Blaisdell Hall at Pitt-Bradford is seeking a reliable and experienced Stagehand to assist with the setup, execution, and teardown of campus arts and music events. This is a part-time, on-call position scheduled per event, with minimal monthly hours ranging from 3 to 10, depending on the event calendar.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in setting up and striking stages, lighting, sound, and other technical equipment

• Operate or assist with basic audio, lighting, and visual equipment during performances

• Load and unload gear and assist visiting artists and performers as needed

• Maintain organization and cleanliness of backstage and storage areas

• Follow safety guidelines and instructions from technical directors and event managers

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in performing arts or music events

• Familiarity with standard industry equipment (e.g., lighting instruments, audio gear, cabling)

• Ability to lift and move equipment and work flexible hours based on the event schedule

• Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability
