Mental Health Cooperative, Inc. (MHC) was formed in 1993 to serve individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Since then, we have expanded our services to children and adolescents with severe emotional disorders across Middle and East Tennessee.
Our sole purpose is to support and treat those challenged with serious mental illness and poverty. Although based out of Nashville, we serve several communities across middle and East Tennessee with satellite offices in Antioch, Gallatin, Dickson, Columbia, Cleveland, Murfreesboro, Clarksville, Cookeville, Chattanooga, and Memphis.

Job: Registered Nurse II
Summary: The Medical Operations Registered Nurse (RN) supports licensed physician or advanced practice nurse, as well as overall treatment team, in providing care to clinic Consumers.
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8a-4:30p (37.5 hours / week
RN II - Position Responsibilities:
1. Provide orientation and training for new nursing staff.
2. Assess and identify areas for improvement within the nursing department.
3. Audit consumer records for quality, completion, and appropriate nursing documentation.
4. Assist with developing educational materials for the nursing department.
5. Assist direct supervisor in scheduling as needed.
6. Audit medication rooms to ensure there is safe and proper handling of medications.
7. Provide feedback to director or supervisor about each nurse for appraisals
8. Present as a positive role model for the nursing department, as well as, the agency.
9. As needed or directed, rotate to various locations to provide guidance and support to nursing staff.
10. Exhibit leadership skills in all situations.
Essential skills and experience:
Valid Tennessee Registered Nurse license
Phlebotomy skills and ability to give injections
Essential requirements for the position:
Valid Tennessee Driver’s License
Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
Acceptable Criminal Background Investigation
Personal Automobile Insurance
Cross-train in all areas of Medical Operations
