POSITION SUMMARY

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall operation, maintenance, repair, cleaning, and resource management of one or more Vertiv facilities which includes building and mechanical equipment. Primary duties may include managing various construction, remodel, and/or improvement projects within assigned Vertiv facilities. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide supervision of the maintenance staff of mechanics and electricians
  • Monitor, trains team, and adhere to all safety requirements maintaining an efficient and safe working environment for all employees
  • Act as local subject matter expert for the Vertiv Operating System (VOS) reporting out on all required metrics driving toward word class maintenance performance
  • Act as owner of Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Assist with Preventive Maintenance creation and scheduling ensuring all work orders are completed on time and zero downtime of plant equipment and machinery
  • Order and maintain inventory of all critical spare parts and tools
  • Provide technical assistance to electricians and mechanics solving equipment maintenance issues 
  • Ensure facility and test infrastructure is maintained as required to ensure safe operation and zero downtime of systems
  • Maintain updates to plant one-line electrical drawing
  • Assist with architectural design, electrical, mechanical, environmental and layout work in connection with equipment, new construction, or rearrangements in plant facilities.              
  • Identify and implement capital projects that drive cost reductions 
  • Prepare capital or service specifications for bids, evaluates bids, and make recommendations
  • Ensure compliance to all state and federal regulations
  • Maintain company facilities and grounds to include but not limited to minor building maintenance, equipment and other cosmetics.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Job Qualifications: 

  • 5-7 years Mfg. Operations experience

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in facility maintenance, including some project management experience, 
  • 3 - 5 years’ management experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical and building codes, and NFPA, EPA, and OSHA regulations
  • Strong functional understanding of computerized maintenance management software 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals
  • High level of analytical ability 

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
