Description
Objectives: Lead, manage, train, and develop Fitness Managers & personal training team members according to the company’s Mission, Vision, Service Standards. Manage the training teams for maximizing training revenue, member retention and departmental growth.
Reports to: President and Director of Operations
Criteria:
- 5 years of proven Programming & Development for Personal Training
 - NASM, AFAA, ACE or ACSM Primary Personal Training Certification and CPR/AED certification
 - Excellent oral, written, presentation and analytical skills
 - Proficient with Microsoft Windows/Office with intermediate to advanced Excel skillset
 - Proficient with digital technology applications
 
Regional Fitness Director responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 
- Work with General Managers (GM) and Fitness Managers (FM) to hire, train, and maintain a proactive, efficient, professional, Personal Training (PT) team.
 
- Create a strategic plan for the PT Dept that identifies key focus initiatives for ongoing program success.
 - Develop PT program that maximizes member engagement and personal training penetration rates.
 - Assist in the development the PT Program that aligns with the AFF brand including but not limited to:
	
- New and current PT programming for individual, group and team training
 - Manage and track Certifications via NASM Club Connect
 - Recruiting, hiring and departmental onboarding
 - And modification in the compensation for trainers & instructors as needed
 - Feedback, coaching/development, and program review processes
 - Departmental training, workshops, and all continuing education opportunities
 - Maximizing use, communications and engagement by trainers with the AFF Anywhere app
 - Develop and assist in any APP facing programs and benefits for members
 - Reporting systems, goals and associated analytics
 - Creating and maintaining departmental processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
 - Other initiatives as deemed reasonable within the AFF personal training & fitness departments
 
 
- Proactively work with company-wide peers to support each other for success as an organization including, but not limited to: Group Fitness Dept, Membership, Marketing and related Admin staff.
 - Develop a reporting plan with Management to report PT analytics & metrics to the FM’s and GM’s.
 - Motivate the team to engage in a positive, enjoyable,non-competitive environment.
 - Create, revise, and update any AFF Personal Trainer Manuals
