YMCA of Superior California is a community-centric association committed to inspiring all to a healthy life in spirit, mind and body. We are looking for a dedicated certified instructor who can teach multiple training formats including private training, small group training, and group exercise classes.
Sub openings vary within these times: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Responsibilities:- Responsible for coaching within our Group Fitness department with assistance from the Health
& Wellness management. - Perform traditional Fitness Coach duties including, but not limited to conducting assessments,
attending monthly meetings, and designing class workouts for small-medium groups. - Consult with new members regarding fitness goals and aspirations.
 - Meet sales and service initiatives by creating consumer demand for fitness services.
 - Establish clientele through developing meaningful relationships with members and providing
outstanding service. 
Expectations
- Be competent teaching dynamic warm-up and flexibility drills
 - Demonstrate competency of training techniques, including strength and conditioning formats.
 - Be eager to learn and accepting of constructive feedback
 - Must be comfortable interacting with clients, children, parents, etc.
 - Display positive demeanor towards members, guests and staff.
 - Present yourself in a manner that will reinforce your status as a role model for our members.
 
- High school diploma or equivalent
 - Current nationally recognized certification/or college degree in a related field from an
accredited university - Current CPR/AED/FIRST AID Certification (within 60 days of employment)
 - Previous sales/customer relations experience preferred not required.
 - Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
 - 1 year of CPT experience preferred
 - 1 year of sales experience preferred
 - Group Exercise experience preferred
