PROFESSIONAL PERSONNEL- EXTRACURRICULAR
JOB TITLE: Co-Curricular School Nurse Coverage
LOCATION: Grafton High School
TO WHOM RESPONSIBLE: Nursing Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing-Registered Nurse
- License and West Virginia School Nurse Certification required
STIPEND: Hourly rate of pay for direct services; Minimum wage rate of pay for daytime on-call indirect services.
FUNDING SOURCE: General Current
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Maintain health records of students
- Coordinate with Nursing Supervision on Policy 2422.7 Specialized Health Care Procedures for Section 504 students
- Arrange and provide training for personnel who will work with students who have special health care needs
- Maintain record for those who have received training for working with students with special health care needs
- Set up for all specialized health care procedures and provide appropriate supervision for those to whom specialized health care procedures have been delegated
- Provide general health appraisals and referrals for health concerns for students
- Follow up of same students with health concerns
- Counsel parents and students on good health practices
- Provide emergency first aid when available
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
