Provide short-term classroom instruction in Spanish II-III as a part-time substitute teacher for a three-week assignment in November. In your cover letter, please describe how your background matches this position and how you will support Archbishop Murphy High School's mission.

Qualifications:

B.A. / B.S. (or higher) in Spanish/language instruction or related field.
Preference will be given to candidates with successful high school experience teaching Spanish.
A current Washington State Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Spanish/world language instruction or other related fields is preferred.

Salary: Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market
data, applicant’s skills, and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications. Range: Excluding the MA or PhD stipend, the range for the daily rate is $289 -$585.

Part-time positions are not eligible for benefits.

Job functions:
Support the World Languages Department by teaching Spanish classes on a temporary, part-time basis for three weeks in November. We have an alternating Red Day / Black Day block schedule with 85-minute class periods. Classes are scheduled during the regular school day, which meets from 8:00-2:35 p.m.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a part-time Spanish language teacher, effective October 30, 2025 – November 21, 2025.
The successful candidate will be able to teach high school Spanish levels II-III.
Must enjoy collaborating with high school students and be committed to helping students learn.
