Special Education Teacher at LEARN RESC

LEARN, Southeastern Connecticut's Regional Educational Service Center, invites dynamic, innovative, and team-oriented candidates to apply for a full-time Special Education Teacher opening at The Friendship School in Waterford, Connecticut. This is an exciting position for a professional who is excited about early childhood education and wants to help create an inclusive, engaging learning environment for all students.

Day to day:

• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to create comprehensive student programming.
• Develop and implement engaging evidence based, developmentally appropriate lessons to individuals, and smalls groups.
• Engage with caregivers to support the whole child.

Qualifications:

• Connecticut Teacher certification (i.e.165, 065, or 113) or eligible for certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven experience working with children in school or educational settings.
• Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills.
