About the role

At Four Seasons Hotel & Private Residences Nashville , the Banquet Captain plays a key leadership role in creating memorable event experiences. Reporting to the Banquet Director, this position oversees daily banquet operations, ensuring seamless execution, exceptional service, and the distinctive elegance that defines Four Seasons events.

What you will do

  • Supervise the banquet team to ensure flawless execution of hotel and off-site events.

  • Coordinate event setup requirements according to Banquet Event Orders, collaborating closely with Catering and Conference Services teams.

  • Oversee the quality and presentation of all food and beverage service, ensuring an elevated guest experience.

  • Foster strong relationships with guests and clients, addressing concerns or special requests promptly and professionally.

  • Ensure all banquet areas, equipment, and facilities are maintained to Four Seasons standards, identifying and addressing needs for improvement.

  • Attend regular operational meetings to support cross-departmental communication and alignment.

  • Support in the setup and breakdown of event spaces when needed.

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of up to 40 employees, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.

What you bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in banquet or event operations, with proven leadership capabilities.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and perform under pressure.

  • A passion for service, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate guest needs.

  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays.

  • Proficiency in English (oral and written).

Schedule & Hours

  • Full-time position.

  • Eight-hour shifts, with a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
