JOB SUMMARY

This engineering position is focused on our Generator Manufacturing Division.  The Software Engineer will develop and maintain software for CPS&S manufacturing processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with cross-functional teams and Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to write, test and update software for manufacturing processes
• Collect and analyze current and historical manufacturing data to improve efficiency and inform planning
• Integrate manufacturing systems and machines to ensure consistent data flow and communication
• Program and troubleshoot PLC’s and other equipment to optimize production processes
• Design testing methods to ensure:
  • Compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
  • Product and process quality
• Design solutions and support the introduction of new products

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment via professional work experience.
• Preferred

• Experience with automation tools including PLC’s, SCADA, MES, Wonderware and Siemens PCS7
• Experience creating and maintaining SQL databases
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#
• Working knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP and Ethernet
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

WORK CONDITIONS
