STEM Lab Assistant at Morgan County Schools

Job Summary:
The Educational Assistant – STEM Lab supports classroom instruction by facilitating the daily operation of the lab. This role helps facilitate hands-on learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students during STEM activities, projects, and experiments.

• Prepare and organize materials, tools, and technology for lessons.

• Assist with the setup, operation, and cleanup of lab equipment.

• Supervise small groups of students to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

• Provide academic support and encouragement to students as they work through STEM challenges.

• Help maintain lab organization, inventory, and safety procedures.

• Overseeing the development of the new STEM lab

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or relevant coursework preferred).

• Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.

• Interest in STEM fields and willingness to learn lab procedures and technology.

• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
