JOB PURPOSE

The Chief Inspector ensures compliance with established standards across various sectors, including law enforcement, construction, aviation, and public health. This role oversees inspection teams, manages inspection activities, and coordinates staff to ensure all duties align with regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Chief Inspector ensures that all operations meet the necessary specifications and industry regulations. Reviews and analyzes inspection results, identifies discrepancies, and implements corrective actions to rectify issues. Examines materials, services, and products to guarantee they meet specifications and are free from issues. Develops, implements, and maintains standard operating procedures for inspections and quality control.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions:

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance

    • Ensure all inspections comply with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
    • Develop and implement inspection procedures to maintain operational integrity and compliance.
    • Stay updated on regulatory changes and adjust inspection processes accordingly.
    • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and auditors.

Inspection Management & Oversight

    • Supervise and coordinate inspection activities to verify adherence to established standards.
    • Review inspection reports, maintenance records, and compliance documents to ensure accuracy.
    • Conduct audits and investigations to identify potential non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
    • Oversee testing, calibration, and certification processes as required by industry standards.

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Manage, train, and mentor a team of inspectors to ensure competency and consistency in inspections.
  • Assign inspection duties and monitor performance to maintain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the inspection team.

Operational Support & Risk Management

    • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
    • Work with engineering, maintenance, and safety teams to address quality concerns.
    • Ensure that corrective actions are taken promptly to resolve compliance issues.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling weight up to 20 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

 Work Location: PAG Prime Turbines, Carrollton TX

Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, quality assurance, aviation maintenance, public health, or criminal justice) preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in inspection, quality control, or compliance roles.

Certificates/License:

    • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (for aviation sectors).
    • Industry-specific quality control or compliance certifications.
    • OSHA certification (for construction and safety compliance).
