Description
The Overnight Janitorial Floater is a key member of our operations team, responsible for providing flexible coverage across a designated geographic area. This position supports janitorial teams by filling in for call-outs, PTO, or open positions, and assists with special projects, deep cleans, and other as-needed overnight tasks. The ideal candidate is reliable, adaptable, and committed to maintaining TEC Services’ high standards of cleanliness and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide janitorial coverage for assigned facilities during employee absences or open shifts.
 - Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, restroom sanitation, and surface disinfecting.
 - Support floor care, carpet cleaning, high dusting, or other specialty project work as assigned.
 - Travel between locations within the designated region as needed, ensuring punctual arrival and completion of assignments.
 - Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper use, care, and storage.
 - Follow all safety procedures and company protocols.
 - Communicate effectively with Service Quality Managers and site supervisors regarding schedule changes, issues, or supply needs.
 - Exhibit professionalism, dependability, and strong customer service when representing TEC Services at client locations.
 
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1–2 years of commercial janitorial or facilities maintenance experience required.
 - Flexibility to work overnight hours, weekends, and variable schedules as needed.
 - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage or travel stipend may apply).
 - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical cleaning tasks.
 - Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
 - Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality standards.
 
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with floor equipment (auto scrubbers, burnishers, extractors, etc.)
 - Familiarity with safety and chemical handling procedures (SDS, PPE, etc.)
 - Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
