- Foster a physically and emotionally safe culture for students, families, and fellow staff in the after-school program
- Cultivate opportunities for youth leadership in planning, delivering, and evaluating the after- school program
- Share your areas of expertise and interest with students to broaden their experience
- Provide subject-matter expertise in key program areas on the various projects
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with staff, students, and external stakeholders as required
- Conduct any necessary research into achieving project aims and objectives
- Demonstrated abilities working effectively with youth in a variety of after-school settings
- Project management, effective communication, and planning skills
- Ability to create and manage partnerships

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for facilitating after-school learning opportunities for middle and high school students in activities aligned with the school and community gardens projects funded by a Community Education grant award. Communication and coordinated planning with the 21st Century Grant Coordinator, other after-school staff, and external partners will be critical to align these programs and achieve the best outcomes for students.
