What you'll do
Operating a reliable global service requires excellent observability and automation. The Observability & Tooling team is responsible for the infrastructure that processes real-time telemetry data and provides the tooling engineers need to measure, visualize, investigate, and optimize the customer experience. We're looking for a passionate software engineer with a good knowledge of designing, implementing, and operating web services. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and proficiency in C#, Java or NodeJS, along with exposure to the latest trends in artificial intelligence. You should thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and excel at collaborating with partners to solve difficult problems.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Manager, Engineering.
Responsibility
Deliver product features and technology improvements as part of a passionate agile development team working on a high impact roadmap
Innovate, design and build web apps critical to Docusign operations
Write high quality code in C# and NodeJS
Stay current with the latest observability best practices and share your findings with the team
Write and maintain unit and functional tests for every feature
Raise issues proactively that may impact delivery commitments
Fix production issues and maintain the code as needed
Address system issues as they relate to performance, scalability and reliability
Work cooperatively with partners to create features that satisfy user needs with simplicity, consistency and robustness
Identify, propose, and implement process improvements to continuously increase the team's productivity and efficiency
Maintain and evolve the software architecture for current and future needs
Stay current with the latest development best practices and share your findings with the team
Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring
Basic
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
Experience with computer science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
Experience with a modern programming language (e.g., C#, Java, Python, NodeJS) and development tools (e.g., Git)
Preferred
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset
Familiarity with full-stack development concepts, including front-end technologies (e.g., React, JavaScript) and backend services
Good understanding of Artificial Intelligence
Wage Transparency
Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $100,300.00 - $154,900.00 base salary
Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $94,600.00 - $137,875.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for the following:
- Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
- Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
