Mental Health Cooperative, Inc. (MHC) was formed in 1993 to serve individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Since then, we have expanded our services to children and adolescents with severe emotional disorders across Middle and East Tennessee.
Our sole purpose is to support and treat those challenged with serious mental illness and poverty. Although based out of Nashville, we serve several communities across middle and East Tennessee with satellite offices in Antioch, Gallatin, Dickson, Columbia, Cleveland, Murfreesboro, Clarksville, Cookeville, Chattanooga, and Memphis.

Job Title: Transportation Specialist (Driver - Behavioral Health)
JOB SUMMARY: We’re looking for a fulltime Transportation Specialist to help transport our consumers to and from designated appointments. This is a great option for retired drivers or anyone looking to supplement their income at their own pace.
Schedules Available: Tuesday - Saturday 10:00am - 6:30pm
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transport consumers to and from designated appointments.
Transport to and from hospitals and/or residential/community locations for EPS
Communicate with Transportation Supervisor regarding consumer concerns and/or transportation issues for the consumer.
Attend team, department and Agency meetings as required.
Maintain the MHC vehicles in optimal condition and report any concerns to the Transportation Supervisor.
Must inspect assigned vehicle at the beginning of work shift and complete vehicle inspection form.
Complete all required paperwork in a legible and timely manner.
Respond expediently to all communication with office.
Responsible for managing route, which includes calling consumers prior to leaving the office and planning route effectively.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 25 years or older
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ability to transport consumers to appointments in a safe and reliable manner
Valid Tennessee Driver’s License
Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and “F” Endorsement (required)
Acceptable Criminal Background Investigation
