Millwright – Join a Team Where Your Skills Truly Matter

Be Part of Something Built to Last – Literally and Professionally

At York Building Products, we’re more than just concrete, stone, and aggregates—we’re a family-run company that’s been shaping skylines and communities for over 85 years. Our reputation on the East Coast as a leader in the building materials industry comes not just from our products—but from the people who power them.

This is more than just a job. It’s a chance to work with purpose—and to build a career with impact.

What You'll Do as a Millwright

As a Millwright, you'll be the heartbeat of our operations, keeping our industrial equipment running safely and efficiently. Every day, your expertise in mechanical systems, welding, and problem-solving will directly impact the success of our production.

Your Day-to-Day Might Include:

  • Welding & Fabrication: Fabricate and repair conveyor belts, mechanical components, and piping.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose issues with gearboxes, bearings, and other machinery—and fix them fast.
  • Tool & Equipment Operation: Confidently use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment (manlifts, telehandlers, skid loaders).
  • Preventative Maintenance: Keep our systems running with regular oiling, greasing, inspections, and cleaning.
  • Work at Heights: You’ll be climbing and working on elevated platforms or ladders when needed.
  • Safety First: Follow all safety protocols and procedures—our team’s well-being depends on it.

What You Bring to the Team

We're looking for skilled, reliable, and safety-minded professionals who take pride in their work and are always ready to roll up their sleeves.

Your Skills & Experience Should Include:

  • Proven experience as a Millwright or in a similar mechanical/industrial role
  • Strong knowledge of welding, pipe fitting, and mechanical fabrication
  • Experience with conveyor systems, gearboxes, and industrial bearings
  • Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical issues
  • Comfortable working in physically demanding environments (lifting up to 90 lbs, confined spaces, heights)
  • Familiarity with manlifts, telehandlers, and skid loaders
  • Welding or Millwright certifications are a plus—but not required
  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Work Environment

You’ll be working both indoors and outdoors—rain, shine, heat, or cold. This is a physically active role that involves heavy lifting, climbing, and operating machinery. But if you love hands-on work and take pride in fixing what others can’t, you’ll feel right at home here.
