COMPREHENSIVE JOB DESCRIPTION

 

JOB TITLE:  Baler/Material Handler/Collection Center Attendant

REPORT TO: Manager of Logistics           

 

JOB SUMMARY

Employee will remove clothing from gaylords and buggies, place clothing into baler, compress clothing by lowering ram, secure compressed bale with steel bands, remove bale from baler and place bale in intermediate storage with pallet jack. Responsible for movement of goods within various departments.

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE/LICENSE REQUIRED

Elementary school is helpful, but not required.  No other education is required.

 

HOURS WORKED

The employee is normally scheduled on a weekly basis, Monday thru Friday. Department hours are 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., hours worked may vary.

 

NUMBER OF DAYS WORKED

May vary, but normally five days a week.

 

OVERTIME HOURS

Generally overtime hours are not scheduled; however, overtime may be required based on the needs of the company.  May work some overtime during summer months.
