The Role

The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and clients, ensuring a welcoming and secure environment. This role is responsible for managing building access, coordinating visitor support, overseeing mail and shipping services, and maintaining lobby and facility standards. The receptionist also supports internal operations through badge tracking, desk reservations, and print services, while upholding compliance with security protocols and providing exceptional customer service. This position is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST.

Key responsibilities

- Greet all employees and visitors warmly, using name recognition to create a personalized and professional experience.

- Provide clear guidance to visiting employees and coordinate with internal hosts for external clients requiring additional support.

Access & Security Management

- Manage building access through the Sharry system, verifying identities via the Kyndryl system and ensuring compliance with current access policies.

- Submit access requests through the onsite CBRE contact.

- Issue temporary badges to visitors without a functioning Kyndryl badge, ensuring adherence to the Security Policy.

- Forward building badge requests to the onsite CBRE contact.

- Maintain annual compliance with Kyndryl Security training, including protocols for panic alarms and handling suspicious communications or packages.

Desk & Restroom Badge Coordination

- Inform cleared visitors that desk reservations must be made in advance via the iOffice system.

- Track restroom badge sets—one at Reception and one with the Group President’s Executive Assistant—and report any issues to the onsite CBRE contact.

Facility Oversight

- Ensure the lobby and coffee area are clean, stocked, and well maintained.

- Report facility-related issues to the onsite CBRE contact.

- Provide backup coverage for reception as needed.

Mail, Shipping & Printing Support

- Process outgoing mail and packages using UPS CampusShip.

- Receive and distribute incoming mail/packages from USPS, UPS, FedEx, and other carriers.

- Maintain tracking records for all packages and special-handling letters, ensuring proper receipt and signature.

- Refer print-related issues to IT Executive Support for resolution and supply management.

- Coordinate with RDC and IT Support for paper stock replenishment.

Additional Duties

- Perform other tasks as requested by Executives or Customers.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 2–5 years of front desk, administrative, or customer service experience in a professional office setting.

  • On-site role requiring consistent presence during scheduled hours

  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with office systems such as Sharry, iOffice, and UPS CampusShip.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold security protocols.

  • Professional demeanor and customer-focused attitude.

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is - $44,400    to  $79,680 based on a full-time schedule.  
Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience.  For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

California:    $48,840    to    $95,640                    
Colorado:     $44,400    to    $79,680                    
New York City:     $53,280    to    $95,640                    
Washington:     $48,840    to    $87,720                    
Washington DC:    $48,840    to    $87,720                    
                                
This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off.  Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
