Career Opportunities: Insurance Accounts Receivable (656147)
The Insurance Accounts Receivable role is a billing staff position with responsibility for specified department duties with ENTAA Care, a practice pod of Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians, LLC.
Essential Functions Include:
- Responsible for the accurate processing of insurance claims, including Medicaid/Medicare claims. Issues refunds when appropriate.
- Collects and enters patient's insurance information into data base when appropriate.
- Processes insurance correspondence, signature and insurance forms.
- Follows up with insurance companies and ensures claims are paid by contracted fee schedule.
- Responds to telephone calls from patients regardin account information
- Trains personnel new to practice
- Provides cross coverage
Shift:
Monday-Friday, Day Shift
No weekends
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two (2) years of insurance billing experience in a health care organization
- Prior knowledge of medical billing/collections practices; basic CPT coding; ICD-10 concepts; and medical terminology
- Prior knowledge of insurance industry contracts, policies and appeal process
- Capacity to type 40 wpm
- Ability to read and understand EOB remittance

Salary Range: Minimum $19.00/hour - Maximum $25.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
