Bank Clinical Trial Coordinator | Competitive Hourly Rate | Flexible Working | Leeds – LS8
A new and exciting role is available for a Clinical Trial Coordinator to join the team on a flexible contract to support the department as and when required.
You will be required to Manage and coordinate clinical trial activities, including administration, patient screening, data collection and support the clinical trial research team while ensuring compliance with study protocols and regulations.
Key responsibilities include administrative tasks like document management and trial setup, patient-facing duties such as providing information, and ensuring all trial processes are followed accurately.
Spire Leeds Hospital, located in Roundhay, Leeds, has been treating patients for almost 30 years. We are the region’s largest private hospital in terms of the range of services we offer and the number of consultants we work with. The hospital offers a range of services and facilities including four operating theatres, a sterile services department, a dedicated endoscopy suite, and a diagnostic and imaging department with an MRI and CT scanner. There are outpatient and physiotherapy departments providing services six days per week
Duties and responsibilities;
- Trial administration: Setting up trials, preparing and maintaining site files, managing documents, and ensuring all study documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Patient management: Identifying, screening, and recruiting eligible patients; obtaining informed consent; scheduling patient visits and procedures; and providing them with information and support.
- Data management: Collecting and processing clinical data, completing case report forms, and updating trackers.
- Regulatory compliance: Ensuring the trial is conducted according to the protocol and adheres to all institutional policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Team coordination: Liaising with doctors, researchers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth trial operations and providing training to staff on study-specific procedures.
- Post-trial duties: Assisting with trial close-out, archiving documents, and helping to disseminate results to participants.
- Financial administration: Tracking payments, processing patient expenses, and assisting with budget-related tasks.
Who we're looking for
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), clinical trial regulations, and research processes is essential.
- Excellent organisation, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic data management.
