OVERVIEW ::

Primary responsibility is to process nonexempt payroll associated with new hires, tax information, benefit deductions, garnishments, child support withholding, etc.  Located in the Corporate Financial Administration office, this position will work directly with the Payroll Manager, Payroll Supervisor and interact with HR, Accounting, Operations and Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS ::
  • Assists employees, timekeepers, and supervisors with payroll issues, and requests for payroll information on a regular basis.
  • Research payroll issues/discrepancies, and process necessary corrections.
  • Complies with the regulatory standards and policies and procedures of payroll.
  • Process and prepare garnishments.
  • Process and audit payroll change notices.
  • Process multiple types of VOEs.
  • Effectively works with a team, including collaborating with employees in other departments.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure all employee data is current.
  • Scanning and filing of sensitive employee documents.
  • Perform a variety of tasks and special projects as needed and assigned.
REQUIREMENTS ::
  • 2+ years of payroll experience
  • Candidates must be proficient in Excel
  • Kronos experience or WFM experience a plus (not required)
  • UKG experience a plus (not required)
  • Possess an aptitude for computer applications, and ability to adapt to new software
  • Familiarity and experience with payroll practices and procedures in an internally payroll environment
  • Ability to work and contribute input within a team environment with fair levels of stress
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to handle high level of confidentiality regarding employee information
  • Self-motivated professional with strong customer service skills
  • Positive and professional demeanor
