Your Next Pour: The Opportunity

Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a Utility Operator to support our Supply Chain team. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing utilities systems and related control equipment; and providing support to maintenance department in completing maintenance activities. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Additional responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshoot and repair utilities systems and related control equipment
• Provide support to maintenance department in completing maintenance activities
• Complete inspections for the Process Safety Management and Preventative Maintenance programs
• Lead the emergency response team activities per incident command procedures
• Establish utilities systems maintenance routines, procedures, frequencies and schedules with assistance from supervisor or engineer
• Take an active role in the plant and departmental safety, environmental and PSM programs
• Contact outside vendors for required maintenance or parts fabrication; provide specifications as required
• All other duties as assigned by management

The Perfect Blend: Experience

• 2-5 years experience in operation and maintenance of utilities systems such as; boilers, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration, wastewater treatment, and water filtration
• CARO Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (entry level) or CIRO Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (advanced level)
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks
• Ability to repair and operate utilities systems
• Ability to troubleshoot utilities systems
• Must be able to pass pulmonary test (PFT) and physical agility test
• Have a good working knowledge of the Process Safety Management program
• Knowledge of and experience with computerized maintenance management systems
• Knowledge of MS/DOS, Windows, MS Word, Excel and other computer applications
• RETA Certified
• Boiler system and steam system certified
• Ammonia system operator certification
• HAZWOPER technician training completion

Foundational Ingredients: Requirements

• Must be located in City of Industry, CA surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
• Willingness to be onsite at the manufacturing facility on a full-time basis
• Must be able to perform physical tasks for the duration of the shift, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting/moving items weighing 50 pounds or more.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Technician is required to carry a pager and be on call 24 hours in the event of a plant malfunction, plant emergency or when no coverage is at plant.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future

The hourly pay for this position is $38.
