Audio-Visual Tech – Banquets  

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Audio-Visual Tech. In this role, you will setup of all functions that require audio visual equipment. To ensure accurate tracking of equipment, protecting and caring for assets and serve as a consultant for sales regarding audio visual needs of future bookings. 

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll assist the Banquet Team to operate in a “for-profit” environment as well as ensure guest service is beyond expectations so that the Resort will meet and/or exceed budgeted expectations. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Set-up and teardown of audio-visual equipment for assigned functions and events 
  • Provide audio visual/technical consultation to sales managers and meeting planners/customers regarding advice for future bookings and audio-visual needs when requested. 
  • Solve, rectify and mediate all guest complaints and maintain guest complaint reports 
  • Maintain the highest quality of service related to all banquet and meetings service  
  • Assist with completion of all forms within the department (guest complaints, lost business, weekly recaps, contracts, proposals, banquet checks, etc.) 

 

What We’re Looking For 

  • Bachelor’s degree in hotel management and/or Information Technology is helpful. High school diploma or equivalent is required 
  • General knowledge of the practices and procedures of a convention center, hotel conference services and/or banquet department 
  • A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.  
  • Also able to operate in-house equipment such as telephone systems, internet, Muzak system, sound, lighting and computer equipment.
