Job Description:

The General Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting the company’s financial operations through accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Inventory transactions. This position performs monthly reconciliations, prepares journal entries, and ensures the accuracy of financial statements. The Accounting Specialist also assists with fixed asset and lease accounting, sales and income tax payments, and ERP system improvements.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. The ideal candidate communicates effectively across all levels of the organization, works collaboratively within a team environment, and demonstrates a commitment to maintaining the company’s financial integrity and core values.

If you have

  • A two (2) year business degree from an accredited college or university
  • Two (2) - four (4) years’ experience in accounting and/or related field
  • Work related experience in areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Inventory Management
  • Must have direct experience with a Microsoft Windows-based operating environment with specific proficiency toward Microsoft Excel
  • Must have direct experience using a comprehensive business ERP system.
  • Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to professionally communicate at all levels of the business with strong diplomacy skills
  • Ability to embrace change, support multiple groups at one time, work well in a team environment with positive energy, and adhere to US Tool Group’s core values

Responsibilities to include:

  • Reviewing AP, AR, and Inventory transactions and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
  • Review and Apply Cash Receipts for Accounts Receivable.
  • Review and process bank payments for Accounts Payable.
  • Analysis and Reconciliation of all Balance Sheet Accounts monthly
  • Analyze and prepare monthly journal entries for recurring, prepaids, accruals, allocated expenses and/or other adjusting entries
  • Analyze sales journals for accurate margins and resolve inaccuracies
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Using a 3rd party software enter and prepare entries for Fixed Assets and Leases
  • Monthly multi-state and foreign sales tax calculations and payments
  • Quarterly federal and state income tax payments
  • Assist with implementation, testing and improvement of ERP system.
  • Miscellaneous task as assigned by Controller.
