As a Financial Reporting Business Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of the organization's financial reporting and internal control processes. Your primary duties will include conducting functional testing of reports, regression testing of financial reports, and performing monthly close checks for the controllership function.
The work:
- Perform functional testing of financial reports to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with SOX and GAAP standards.
- Conduct regression testing on financial reports to identify and address any issues arising from system or process changes.
- Participate in the monthly close process, performing checks and validations to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Identify and implement internal controls to safeguard the organization's financial data and assets.
- Analyze financial reporting processes and procedures and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Provide support and training to end-users on the effective use of reporting and analytics tools.
Here's what you need:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-2 years of experience with in either course work or a role exposed to financial reporting or business analysis
- Proficient in the use of reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
- Introductory understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and internal controls
- Familiarity with SOX and GAAP compliance requirements
- Ability to perform detailed analysis, identify issues, and implement solutions
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience in the finance or accounting industry
- Knowledge of functional testing, regression testing, and Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with the monthly close process and controllership responsibilities

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
