Position Summary

The position provides strategic direction for all projects, convenings and events in the Office of the Dean at the School of Public Health. This role will manage multiple projects and programs from development through implementation and will be the primary point of contact for the School of Public Health collaborators internal and external to the school and university. Projects will align with the School of Public Health’s mission and strategic direction. This position reports to the Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives and Chief of Staff.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Provides strategy and oversight of programs/projects and convenings frequently involving engagement with key stakeholders.

  • Serves as primary point of contact for global leaders engaging with School of Public Health (SPH).

  • Develops strategy for SPH Dean’s Office and makes decisions on how best to utilize resources to take on projects/programs.

  • Creates goals, objectives and plans in alignment with SPH strategic plan.

  • Oversees work plans and timelines.

  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation in conjunction with the Special Projects Coordinator and Event Specialist.

  • Effectively navigates complex and high-visibility tasks, utilizing a strong capacity for influence

Provides leadership in the implementation of project plan, monitor, track, and evaluate progress.

  • Develops and manages department budget/finances related to projects and convenings.

  • Tracks, documents, and communicates progress in collaboration with the plan evaluators, ensuring transparency and accountability.

  • Drives continuous quality improvement and activities to facilitate data-driving decision-making.

  • Oversees work of staff and/or student workers.

Manages a team of staff and graduate students and provides task management to fellow colleagues supporting global projects for the SPH.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range

$84,200.00 - $148,500.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
