Job Description
The Countermeasure and Electromagnetic Attack (CEMA) business area has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. We welcome those who have big ideas, crave innovation, want to drive fielding velocity, and have the passion to bring the warfighter home safe. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
As a Senior Software Engineer in the CEMA Advanced Compact EW Solutions (ACES) product line, you will be an integrated team member collaborating with Systems, Hardware, and Firmware engineers in one or more of the phases of project planning, design, coding, and testing in an agile environment. You will apply your software development skills to create high quality applications or real time embedded software, in C or C++, utilizing sound object-oriented principles, for either new or fielded electronics platforms. You may be assisting in the evaluation of Electronic Warfare software to identify design or coding flaws. You may be utilizing either a Windows- or Linux-based software development environment where you develop tools or integrate and test on embedded target environments that will include the latest technologies.
