Engineering Technician at ManTech

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career customer-oriented Engineering Technician to join our team in Panama City, FL. This is an on-site position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and rough sketches Use drawings and specifications to plan welding operationsPerforms such tasks as welding aluminum, stainless steel, and InconelFabricating, assembling or installing equipment or partsPerforms assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribedSelects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedentsReceives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as neededPerforms recurring work independentlyMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma with 1+ years of relevant experience1+ years of experience in using a variety of hand tools, precision measuring instruments and welding tools and equipmentExperience in MIG/TIG welding of aluminum, stainless steel, and Inconel componentsAbility to pass the NAVSEA certification test in welding techniques for aluminum weldingPreferred Qualifications:Ability to work in confined/restricted spacesExperience in MIG/TIG welding of aluminum, stainless steel, and Inconel componentsBe able to communicate professionally with ManTech employees and ManTech clientsExperience assessing and reporting findingsAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsProficient in written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skillsClearance Requirements:U.S. Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance or ability to get an Interim secret before startingRequired to get a CAC badge as well as Base Security Access approvalPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry 50 Lbs.Work extensive time in stationary positions.Climb and descend ladders.
