STG Education & Enrichment Manager will lead various programs for the Education & Community Engagement Department such as camps, workshops, delivering content, support and mentorship to participants of various ages and disciplines as well as supporting programs within the department. Part of the position will have a revenue goal that supports retail workshops, camps, birthday parties, and special events. This position earns $29.25 to $40.95 per hour and is eligible for medical, dental, life, LTD, STD insurance as well as paid vacation, sick leave and holidays.
- Support the Education + Community Engagement programs to curate and produce education programs, providing young artists, adults and community groups an opportunity to share their culture and expertise
- Hire teaching artists and staff for programs, camps and enrichment classes
- Be onsite to run programs and work with necessary STG staff/departments for the successful running of the program
- Oversee program to create weekend and weeklong camps for varying ages learning arts-based curriculum
- Oversee classes at Kerry Hall on a variety of topics and themes
- Create the daily schedule of the program and coordinate day-to-day running of programs relating to setup and needs
- Handle communications with participants, campers, parent/guardians
- Supervise faculty, staff for entirety of the programs and provide mentorship and feedback as needed
- Oversee marketing needs and materials in collaboration with marketing department
- Work with Supervisors and STG staff to coordinate logistics related to each camp and events
- Review registrations, communicate with families, and provide information related to the program in a timely manner.
- Review lesson plans for each teaching staff member.
- Conduct any staff orientation and trainings related to programs
- Support outreach efforts to bring in participants
- Follow departmental demographic and other metric tracking reporting
- Experience in the area of arts discipline: directing, choreography, musical theatre, music and so forth. Experience in multiple areas is a plus.
- Basic Knowledge of technical areas of art, theatre, music, and dance
- Collaborate with STG staff when necessary
- Support any Education & Community Engagements and events as needed including but not limited to matinees, front of house, recruitment, growth with existing/new programs.
- Receptive to ongoing feedback and provide meaningful feedback to ECE Manager with the goal of improving our programs
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration activity to leverage impact and engagement both internally and externally of assigned programs
- Ensure concurrent projects with competing deadlines and pressures are delivered with high quality, on time and on budget
- Work closely with Associate Director of Education to ensure engagement and partnerships strategies are strongly aligned with organizational goals
- Provide logistical support for on and off-site events, performances and programs as needed for the department
- Manage the collection and reporting data related to programs
- Flexibility for any daytime, evening, weekends and summer for work related to position
- Dedication to racial equity and social justice work in the arts
- Strong youth group management skills
- Experience working with youth of various ages/grade levels
- Ability to direct large group of participants
- Ability to adapt schedule and plans to meet participants’ needs
- Provide support to participants during sessions
- Other duties may be assigned as needed, with flexibility to take on new roles or responsibilities as the company evolves.

QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years' experience in the arts, arts education, managing camps and youth/adult programs.
- Work within budgets of each program
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational ability
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision

- CPR/First Aid Trained (STG will provide if not certified)
