Purpose

The Marketing and Communications team with the LBJ School seeks a Senior Student Associate – Marketing & Communications work-study role to support the LBJ School of Public Affairs by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of digital content, enhancing engagement across web and social media platforms, assisting with digital marketing campaigns, and providing general marketing and administrative support to advance the school’s communication and recruitment efforts.work-study student who will

Responsibilities

Website Updates & Digital Content

  • Perform routine updates to the LBJ School website to ensure content accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in maintaining web pages related to academic programs, faculty, and events.
  • Support digital content uploads, edits, and formatting in alignment with brand standards.

Social Media Support

  • Assist with drafting, editing, and scheduling social media content for official LBJ School channels.
  • Monitor engagement, track activity, and compile metrics for reporting.
  • Help source photos, videos, and stories for use on social platforms.

Digital Marketing Campaign Support

  • The role will contribute to digital marketing campaigns by assisting in integrating new prospect leads from digital advertisements into the recruitment funnel.
  • The associate will support the setup and monitoring of email drip campaigns to nurture prospective students, help maintain prospect lists, and ensure data accuracy.

General Marketing & Administrative Support

  • Provide assistance with marketing materials, email newsletters, and event promotions.
  • Support the communications team on special projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have work-study award
  • Experience managing and updating website content.
  • Ability to draft, edit, and schedule social media posts.
  • Attention to detail for maintaining prospect lists and data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities for supporting marketing and administrative tasks.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with digital marketing campaigns and lead integration.
  • Skill in monitoring engagement and compiling social media metrics.

Salary Range

$15/hr + depending on experience
