Occ Summary


Provide leadership and expertise in conducting complex research activities, including planning, organizing, conducting, and communicating research studies within the overall scope of a research project at Duke University.



Work Performed

Lead, coordinate, and perform a variety of complex independent and team activities involved in the collection, analysis, documentation and interpretation of social, economic or health related information. Coordinate the development of forms, questionnaires and the application of qualitative and quantitative research techniques; write procedures manuals for data collection and coding. Evaluate and interpret collected data and prepare oral presentations or written reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Establish work procedures; select sources of information and specific data; set up interviews with appropriate authorities or subjects and prepare correspondence to locate the specific data required. Confer with principal investigator in developing plans for research projects and to discuss the interpretation of results and the preparation of manuscripts for publication. Train lower level personnel and peers in research methodology. Supervise the work of lower level employees engaged in the collection and tabulation of data. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. The above statements describe the generalnature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this classification. Anticipated Pay Range:

Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $59,829.00 to USD $96,509.00. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
