Job Summary
Fleet Services provides a comprehensive vehicle/equipment service program to all departments and schools through an ITB with 5 responsive vendors. Fleet Services program starts with the identification and acquisition of vehicles required by the district departments and ends with the disposition of these surplus vehicles at the end of their economic life.
Move Management Services provides comprehensive furniture/equipment relocation, repurpose, removal, installation and assembly services for all departments and schools’ furniture requests. During schools and departments relocation into existing district facilities.
Essential Functions
1. Develop and implement fleet management strategies for Fleet Purchasing, vehicle Maintenance, repairs and fuel expenditures. Maintain accurate records of fleet performance and cost control.
2. Develop and Implement Fleet management Strategies, evaluate fleet utilization and develop plans to maximize efficiency. Avoiding audit finds through increased examination of vehicle service intervals, fuel usage and identification/repurposing of underutilized units
3. Develop, implement and coordinate furniture inspections, quantities and spatial planning for the relocation of furniture for office and classroom areas. Manage relocation costs using district staff or vendors.
4. Schedule relocations to avoid disruption to testing, fiscal operation and the academic calendar. Coordination of scheduling on a project-by-project basis with school activities and functions.
5. Verify furniture types, quantities and location for major departmental or schools’ relocation. Manage district assigned inbound stock clerks for all furniture relocations projects. Schedule relocations to avoid disruption to testing, fiscal operation and the academic calendar.
6. Maintain accurate records of Fleet and Move Management performance and cost control.
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma, Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience required.
Experience: Three (3) Years of experience in fleet and/or move management.
Certifications & Licenses: Drivers license in the state of FL.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
