Job Description:

The Department of Marketing in The School of Business at BSU invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, beginning Fall 2026. We seek a dynamic teacher-scholar to contribute to our mission of academic excellence, research impact, and professional engagement.

The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a robust and innovative research agenda, teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels (MBA/Master's), mentor students, and engage in service to the department, college, and university. Teaching needs include, but are not limited to, e.g., Principles of Marketing, Marketing Research, Marketing Strategy, Digital Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides instruction for undergraduate and graduate courses such as Principles of Marketing, Marketing Research, Marketing Strategy, Digital Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Analytics
  • Contributes to the growing level of scholarly activities in the College of Business, by advising/assisting students and sharing the responsibility of Department, College and University governance through committee participation.
  • Performs scholarly activities and research that lead to publications in quality peer-reviewed refereed journals in Marketing. This is a full-time tenure track faculty position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A terminal degree (Ph.D. or D.B.A.) in Marketing or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited or similarly recognized institution (must be completed or have a reasonable expectation of completion by the start date).
  • A recent, established record of peer-reviewed journal (PRJ) publications in discipline-based scholarship, or compelling evidence of a high-potential research pipeline for newly minted Ph.D. candidates, consistent with maintaining research currency and meeting accreditation standards
  • An interest in teaching or record of infusing globalization and online education into their courses, both practical and teaching experiences preferred.
  • Demonstrated competence and experience teaching core subjects within the marketing discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, service and technology application in the classroom required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or DBA from an AACSB-accredited institution with strong teaching and research background, and experience in teaching entrepreneurship courses.
  • Demonstrated experience and proven track record in grant writing.
