SUMMARY
Supervises the Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) student transportation system operations and associated management and personnel functions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in Transportation Management, Logistics, Business Management, Public Administration Logistics and Material Management, or related Field
OR
8 years of progressively responsible experience in school bus transportation, transportation, logistics, or a related field
Three years of supervisory experience to include Employee Relations, Payroll, Recruitment, Accounting and Human Resources.
Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet programs.
Experience in contract administration.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working collaboratively in partnership with various labor unions and collective bargaining agreements.
Experience with automated routing systems.
Experience managing over 100 employees in all facets.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Valid Arizona Driver’s license
MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
Must submit to a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol screen.

FTE: 1.0 – 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
