Your role at Sephora...
As a Lead Engineer you will be part of a Shared Services Team, building integrations between internal applications as well as external partner systems to enable seamless business functions. Your prior experience in application integration design and development will empower you to lead a team of developers to deliver integration solutions as per the project requirements. Your ability to multi-task will enable you to handle integration requirements from multiple projects. You will attend requirement discussions to provide technology inputs to finalize achievable integration requirements and define data mappings. You will own the integration solutions delivered by your team – its quality, production release, maintainability and future support.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of integration components, working with cross-functional engineering teams, product management, IT security, network operations, DevOps, external partners, testing teams etc. This includes understanding of the requirements, designing the integrations, overseeing development and production stability
- Hands-on development and code reviews
- Collaborate with enterprise engineering leads to drive continuous improvement for optimal usage of the integration platforms.
- Lead, coach and support a team of integration developers (onsite and offshore)
We're excited about you if you have:
- 8+ years experience in integrating enterprise applications using middleware tools (like webMethods, Mulesoft, or Boomi)
- 2+ years experience in building integrations using Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Function Apps, Event Hub etc.)
- 2+ years prior experience with messaging / streaming. Confluent Kafka experience preferred
- 1+ years experience with API Management platforms like Apigee, Kong etc. is a plus
- 3+ years prior experience in leading a small team of developers from offshore locations
- 5+ years good understanding of different integration patterns like MFT, pub/sub, streaming, ETL and APIs
- 5+ years experience with message formats like XML, JSON, Flat File - defining data models, data mapping, data translation and transformation
- Understanding of transfer protocols like HTTPS, FTPS, SFTP, AS2 etc.
- Ability to code custom functions in Java, Spring Boot or JavaScript
- Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment
- Good analytical thinking and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to act independently with minimal oversight for non-routine issues and exercises discretion as guided by leadership objectives and direction
- Ability to work in a fast-paced (startup like) agile development environment
- Collaborative and be able to foster good working relationships with peers and other colleagues. Builds support through discussion and compromise.
- Results-oriented, self-starter, self-educator, and can navigate dependencies and resolve roadblocks independently
- Ability to interact with organizational leaders and management level stakeholders.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects with judicious prioritization of issues and escalations
The annual base salary range for this position is $173,610.00 - $192,900.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
