Job Description
We are looking for an Engineering Technologist II to join our fast-paced Lab Services team in Manchester, NH. You will be supporting a wide variety of non-routine complex assignments including fabrication, design assistance, rework and troubleshooting and build mechanical assemblies. Assisting in the install and removal of advanced electronics on various aircraft. The candidate will acquire product knowledge, use, and advance their technical skills while performing their assigned responsibilities in the product development on advanced projects. You will be providing oversight of compliance and safety tasks in the day-to-day operation of engineering labs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performs at a high-level using schedules, drawings, bills of material, specifications, priorities and general instructions of supervisor/program personnel to meet and/or exceed program expectations.
- Creates, expedites and follows-up processing and procurement of material through Purchasing Department to assure delivery and availability of materials by date required.
- Follows all safety and compliance policies and procedures in day-to-day activities.
- Maintains company equipment to ensure that proper tooling, equipment and material is available and functioning properly
- Maintains accurate records of purchase requisitions, orders, receiving reports, move tickets, project inventory, etc.
- Acts as liaison between project group and functional groups and notifies supervisor of unusual difficulties or indications of impending delay in pre-established schedule.
- Assisting with the movement of aircraft safely between the airport ramp and hangar.
- Understand and work to the specifications called out in DCMA 8210.1 and the Ground Operations Procedures (GOPs)
- Must be available to work outside of normal business hours to support Security, programs and construction
- Pick-up and deliver urgently needed materials as necessary to meet customer schedules
- Accurately manages security issues and concerns regarding building and program requirements
- Follows the Engineering Lab Manual (ELM) and associated policies and procedures to maintain a proper environment.
- Familiarity with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) software and machinery used for computer-aided manufacturing
- Knowledge of how to operate grinders, lathes and milling machines
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing process
- Understanding of health and safety regulations to reduce the risk of workplace accidents

- Active Secret DOD Clearance
- High School Diploma and 12+ years in precision machining or equivalent National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certifications
- Good working knowledge of Creo CAD Software and AutoCAD
- Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point.
- 12+ years of machinist experience with milling, lathes, drill presses, band saws and other machining equipment.
- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Powered Industrial Truck certification
- Airport Tug certification
- Manlift certification
- Company Incident Commander experience
- Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) Ramp Access
- High level communication skills when dealing with numerous outside stakeholders to include Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE), Plant Engineering and program management.
