Youth Therapist (10-Month) at Community Violence Intervention Center

YOUTH THERAPIST – 10 MONTH

Make a difference in the lives of youth and families in Grand Forks County with a position that offers a convenient 10-month work schedule (August through June), aligning with the school year.

What You’ll Need

• Master’s degree in social work or counseling.
• North Dakota license – LMSW, LAPC or LPC required; LCSW or LPCC preferred.
• Experience with children and victims of violence preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver individual and group therapy to youth (under age 18) impacted by domestic violence, sexual abuse, stalking, bullying, and related trauma.
• Work directly with youth and their caregivers at CVIC’s main office, shelter, and local schools, including rural areas.
• Develop personalized treatment plans using evidence-based approaches.
• Provide support and resources to caregivers and collaborate with partner agencies to ensure youth and families have access to the help they may need.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with billing and insurance processes.
• Participate in community outreach, prevention, and education efforts.
