Lakeview Village is searching for a caring and dedicated Homemaker to join our excellent team of employees with a passion for nursing. Lakeview Village in Lenexa, Kansas is a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community that offers long-term care, assisted living, sub-acute rehabilitation, and home health services.

Job Details:

• The Homemaker performs dining services, housekeeping, laundry, and activity-related duties in order to enhance the resident's quality of life, so the resident can remain as independent as possible. 
• Follows menus and diet profile forms, facilitates mealtime conversations
• Maintains clean spaces in the neighborhood, including resident rooms, common areas, support spaces, and storage areas
• Assists with activities when possible, including reading to residents, visiting with residents, and helping with group activities 

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 6:30am-3:00pm

Pay:  $17.00 - $23/hr, based on experience

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications and skills:

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Six months of experience in a housekeeping, laundry, or dietary position in a Long Term Care setting is preferred.
• Ability to work holidays and weekends as assigned.
• Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly.
• Able to work in a team setting with residents, relatives, staff, and others.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the job.
