We are seeking a Clean Team Supervisor at The Chase Center on the Riverfront
Principal Function
Sodexo Live! at The Chase Center on the Riverfront is seeking an experienced, hands-on Clean Team Supervisor to lead daily and event-based cleaning operations. This role oversees a team of cleaners, ensures venue standards are met, and participates directly in cleaning activities using commercial equipment. The ideal candidate is reliable, guest-focused, and skilled at motivating a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Clean public areas, offices, back-of-house spaces, and event spaces to established standards.
- Operate commercial cleaning equipment (e.g., industrial vacuums, floor scrubbers, carpet shampooers).
- Lead and model hands-on cleaning while directing team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely.
- Assign daily/shift tasks, set expectations, and motivate team members to high quality and productivity.
- Build and manage staff schedules across multiple shifts and concurrent events.
- Train and develop team members on procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies; track usage and request reorders to avoid stockouts.
- Respond promptly to cleanliness concerns and guest feedback; resolve issues professionally.
- Communicate effectively with venue management, team members, and clients to coordinate priorities.
Supportive Functions
- Promote teamwork and a positive, professional service culture.
- Escalate unusual or time-sensitive issues promptly to the appropriate leader.
- Maintain reliable transportation to report for assigned shifts.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Valid driver's license (required).
- 2+ years of commercial or hospitality cleaning experience (preferred).
- Experience operating large commercial cleaning equipment (required).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of OSHA Standard and MSDS guidelines
- Strong customer-service orientation and professional communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and to lead others.
Other requirements include but are not limited to:
Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly quartered environment.
Hours are often extended or irregular to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
