Summary

Our Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and systems. This role requires a solid foundation in software engineering principles, proficiency in programming languages, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. As a Level 2 engineer, the individual is expected to contribute to moderately complex projects with minimal supervision and begin taking ownership of components or features.

Experience Level with Business Tools

• Proficient in utilizing business tools such as:  E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
• Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.

Knowledge

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, PhP).

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Knowledge of web, backend, or full-stack development is a plus.

Job Complexity

• Develop, test, & maintain scalable and efficient software solutions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Education and Experience

• Bachelors Degree (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of related experience or Masters Degree with no or little experience.

Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation.

• Light or sedentary work that will occasionally (1-33%) require the employee to lift/move up to 23 lbs.

  • Reaching above and below the shoulder occasionally (1-33%).

  • Above-average agility and dexterity with the ability to hold, grasp, and manipulate small parts and use hand and power tools

  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stretching, reaching, repetitive motion, or similar activities.

  • Work environments include: electrical current, proximity to moving mechanical parts, and repetitive hand motion.
