Orthopaedic Nurse (RVN) Taverham Vets, Norwich Full-time, 38.5 hours per week Up to £28,000 DOEJoin a Team Where Your Skills Make a DifferenceTaverham Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our large and supportive team. This role will work alongside our Lead Orthopaedic Nurse, providing hands-on support and helping deliver excellent orthopaedic care. You’ll have the opportunity to rotate between first-opinion work and specialist orthopaedics, gaining experience across a wide variety of cases.Role DetailsBased at our well-equipped first-opinion hospital, you’ll support both first-opinion and referral work (certificate-holder led). The orthopaedic caseload includes orthopaedics, soft-tissue surgery, medicine (including endoscopy), CT, hydrotherapy, dentistry, cardiology, and ECC.As part of your role you will:*Rotate between first-opinion and orthopaedic work*Support orthopaedic procedures with kit ordering, booking, surgical prep, anaesthesia, and scrubbing in*Perform x-rays and CTs as part of the orthopaedic team*Contribute to the smooth running of the practice alongside a large, experienced vet and nursing teamWork Schedule*4 day week, 38.5 hours per week*1 in 8 full weekends (Saturday/Sunday 8am–6.20pm)*1 in 8 short weekends (Saturday or Sunday 9am–3pm)*Full-time role with all own out-of-hours care supported by a dedicated night team taking transfers/overnight casesAbout the PracticeTaverham Veterinary Hospital is a large, first-opinion practice undertaking both first-opinion and referral work. We have a wide range of specialist clinicians, including several certificate-holding ECC clinicians. Our dedicated night team ensures excellent out-of-hours care for transfers and overnight cases from surrounding practices.What We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking a qualified and enthusiastic RVN with a keen interest in orthopaedics. Ideally you will have strong practical skills, a collaborative attitude, and a commitment to delivering high standards of patient care.
