Role Overview
The HSEQ Manager will provide clear and strong leadership to all levels on all Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality matters as well as providing the link between HR & the wider teams to support and facilitate our people strategy across the business. To build a well-trained, flexible and motivated HSEQ team to deliver continuously improving performance against the Genuit Groups and Sky Garden HSE, Operational and People strategies. To support the business in embedding a no harm culture and embodying the Group’s trade-mark behaviours.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all team members work in line with the company’s latest policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Lead a proactive health, safety, and environmental culture, ensuring full regulatory compliance and risk reduction.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor H&S performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Investigate accidents and near misses to root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Analyse and report operational performance against KPIs to the Operations Director.
- Ensure all mandatory and compliance training is completed and documented across the team.
- Maintain up-to-date training matrices and job descriptions to demonstrate competency and support development.
- Provide regular performance feedback and conduct personal development reviews with direct reports.
- Recruit, onboard, and manage team members, ensuring succession planning and talent development.
- Embed continuous improvement practices to eliminate waste and improve operational efficiency.
- Support and deliver strategic action plans aligned with company and group objectives.
- Lead sustainability initiatives and liaise with Group HSE to align with broader environmental goals.
Skills and Experience
- NEBOSH qualification
- WAMITAB Level four would be advantageous
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in detailed problem solving and improvement projects
- Previous experience within a Health and Safety role with influence
- Proven track record of managing teams
- Deep understanding of problem solving & CI tools and techniques
