We are currently looking for a Process Vision Engineer to join our Process team based in our Gigafactory at Dunkirk (north of France).
As such, you are responsible for the design, automation, and continuous improvement of vision programs for production equipment. You also participate in the implementation of emergency responses and the driving of improvement initiatives through rapid and effective collaboration with vision system vendors. Key competencies include the ability to analyze and troubleshoot optical systems, lighting, cameras, HMI programs, and communication protocols, especially systems provided by standardized embedded vision providers. You also must be able to interpret inspection areas and incorporate analysis results into vision program logic. In addition, the ability to identify or propose design architectures to perform the necessary inspection tasks is essential for the success of this role.
Main responsibilities :
Process Design & Troubleshooting: Optimize vision system performance and implement improvements.
Project Support: Support process improvement and project expansion, and track schedules and resources.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: coordinate with production, quality, and supply chain teams.
Technical Guidance: provide recommendations to operators and team members.
Quality & Compliance: ensure process adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
Reporting & Analysis: maintain process documentation and provide updates on KPIs and performance metrics.
Supervision: Support vision operations and guide operators as needed.
Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement process solutions.
Project Support: Support vision improvements and project expansion.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: Monitor vision performance, recommend improvements, and optimize efficiency and quality. Check the consistency of the machine's internal data.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or related field (entry-level acceptable with relevant internships or co-ops).
Exposure to process improvement, industrialization, or production support during studies or early career.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production methods.
Basic understanding of quality systems (ISO, GMP, or industry-specific standards).
Familiarity with engineering tools: CAD software, process mapping, and basic statistical analysis (Excel, Minitab, or similar).
Ability to conduct root cause analysis and support corrective/preventive actions.
Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
Effective communication skills to work with operators, technicians, and cross-functional teams.
Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and engage in continuous improvement.
