Overview:

We are hiring a passionate & sport-obsessed Associate Marketing Manager for GATORADE to shape and execute Gatorade’s social strategy with the ambition to make Gatorade the undisputed leader in modern sports culture.

 

This role will be the intersection of sports & culture: blending creative storytelling, understanding the world of sport, and strategic thinking to bring Gatorade’s brand purpose to life. This position reports directly to the Sr. Marketing Manager of GATORADE Communications.

Responsibilities:
  • Build Gatorade’s Brand Equity in Canada by executing a social & culture strategy to build relevance & engagement with the core consumer target
  • Activate the brand around key sports & cultural tentpole moments (e.g. key sporting events, championships, athlete milestones) to drive timely & relevant engagement
  • Drive execution of league, team, and athlete strategies across our owned & partner social channels (Hockey Canada, Canada Basketball, PWHL, NBA, WNBA, F1)
  • Support Integrated Marketing Campaigns with tailored social executions that connect with audiences & amplify existing efforts
  • Amplify Gatorade Grassroots marketing efforts in a relevant & social-first way
  • Lead cross-functional & agency relationships to ensure delivery of best in class and timely marketing activities
  • Tracking & Evaluating fast-moving social KPI’s to Gatorade brand equity & business objectives
  • Support the Sr. Marketing Manager with the Full Year Planning cycle – including Brand Equity Revews, Communications Tracking & Program Evaluations
  • Wire & collaborate with the US and Global groups as needed to ensure shared learning and strategic alignment
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (Business degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of relevant marketing experience
  • Proven track record of delivering results through best in class collaboration, consumer mindset, complex problem solving
  • Self-starter with a high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Demonstrates and champions innovative ideas that position the brand for leadership in the marketplace
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills to partner effectively internally and externally to deliver results
  • Business a savvy, opportunity seeking team player even when dealing with obstacles in a fast-paced environment
  • Sports background is an asset (understanding of & history of playing competitive sports)
